Welcome to my creative corner of the world. Carolina here, a creative business hijacker and brand designer, and I want to personally welcome you to 5/12 Studio: a creative design studio specializing in brand development and custom website design.

Why Five Twelve

When coming up with a name for my business, I wanted something that personal, something meaningful, but also symbolic.

 

Since the passing of my older brother in 2007, the date of his birthday has always been significant in my family. May 12th and the numbers 5 1 2 were showing up in our every day lives. Weird, but cool. I was sure it was the universe's way of telling me that was the name I should choose. I happily obliged.

 

5/12 is also the month (May) and year (2012), I incorporated my business. So, both dates are very important to me and without question, it was really the best name for us to face the world.

Our Manifesto

  • Having a passion for creating cool graphic and web design experiences.
  • Nit-picking every pixel.
  • Being a perfectionist and always having a desire to improve on the project, even after it launches.

Our Process

  • Get In Touch

    First things first. Complete my project inquiry form so I can get up to speed about your goals, timeline, and budget. If it seems like we're a good fit, we'll schedule a meeting to discuss the nitty-gritty of your project.

  • Consultation

    Before any contracts are signed or design work begins, we sit down with you for a complimentary design consultation via video chat or phone call to make sure that we are the right fit for you and your business.

  • Booking

    We'll customize a proposal detailing the bells and whistles of your project. If you're digging it, then we'll move forward, sign on the dotted line and do the deposit hand-off (like in the movies).

  • Strategy Session

    Here's where the fun starts! We'll discuss all the magic that will be your "project". Depending on the timeline, we'll craft a detailed doc and strategize about your goals for the project. All while drinking lots of coffee!

  • Creative Action Plan

    Together we will devise a plan, converse over coffee (or tea), gather as much information from you to sketch out a creative roadmap for the the project. Then, we'll continue to drink coffee (or tea)!

  • Design Time

    Let the games begin! Or in our case, the design time.  We'll sketch, draft, revise, and sketch, draft and revise some more until we have every pixel perfectly presented (say that 3x times fast). We'll iterate the concepts and drink lots of coffee.

  • Developing & Revisions

    After we perfect every last detail of your project, we will go back to our screens and check off our list of to-do's. We'll probably have a few phone calls or digital chats during this phase, so drink lots of coffee. We will.

  • Launch

    We made it! This is the day that all your dreams come true! Well, sorta. But really it is a time to celebrate (and not with coffee. Maybe wine this time). We'll schedule a launch date and deliver your project in all the best way possible. But wait, there's more...

  • Post-Launch Support

    Your project is complete and we couldn't be happier that you're happy! Now, let's dive in learning mode you know how to use your new site or online store. We'll cover everything - so take notes!  Are you ready to make it happen! AWESOME!

  • Happy Dance!

    Literally, do the happy dance. Whatever that may be. Jump up & down! This is the time for you to revel in your awesomeness for taking the right step in launching your biz into the 21st Century!  Woohoo!
